Agarwood and Qinan Insect-Leaked Essential Oil

🌿 Originating from China’s core agarwood producing areas: Yangjiang/Maoming, Guangdong & Hainan

We own our own agarwood plantations in Yangjiang, Maoming, and Hainan, selecting only the “insect-damaged” sections of agarwood trees formed by natural insect infestation as our raw material. Insect-damaged sections are a special form of resin formation created when ants or longhorn beetles bore into the tree, causing the tree to secrete resin that encapsulates the insect tunnels. This type of resin is rare and possesses a unique, clear, and complex aroma. We control the entire process from planting and selection to extraction.

🐛 What is an insect-damaged section?

Insect-damaged agarwood refers to the resinous substance formed when agarwood trees are attacked by insects and ants. As a self-protective mechanism, the tree secretes resin, which, along with the insect tunnels and wood fibers, forms a resinous body.

Forming Process: Natural insect infestation → Tree stress-induced resin secretion → Resin encapsulating the insect tunnels → Maturation over many years

Morphological Characteristics: Insect-damaged agarwood often exhibits natural holes, grooves, and twisted textures, resulting in diverse shapes.

Aroma Characteristics: Compared to ordinary agarwood, insect-damaged agarwood has a clearer, more transparent aroma, possessing a natural, vibrant quality.

Scarcity: Natural insect-damaged agarwood is already rare, and Qinan insect-damaged agarwood is considered the finest among them.

🔥 Ancient Distillation Method, Gently Extracting the Pure Essence
Utilizing a time-honored ancient water distillation process, taking advantage of the relatively soft texture and clear resin of insect-damaged agarwood, a gentle, low-temperature slow extraction is used to avoid damaging its delicate aroma molecules with high temperatures. No fractionation, no blending, and no accelerated extraction are performed.

💧 100% Pure, Undiluted, Additive-Free. No base oils, alcohol, fragrance, or any thickeners. The essential oil is golden to light amber in color, with a refreshing, non-sticky texture and superior fluidity and diffusion compared to ordinary agarwood essential oil.

🍂 Aroma Characteristics (The Lively Charm of Insect-Infused Agarwood)

Compared to regular agarwood essential oil, insect-infused agarwood essential oil has a more refreshing, transparent, and complex aroma:

First Note: A refreshing, upward-sweeping coolness with a hint of floral and honey sweetness, without any heaviness, as clear as a morning mountain spring.

Middle Note: The unique frankincense and fruity acidity of agarwood emerge lightly, mixed with a natural scent similar to grass or moss, creating a lively and layered aroma.

Base Note: A clean, woody fragrance; while not as strong as aged agarwood, the lingering scent is long, elegant, and persistent.
