We own our own agarwood plantations in Yangjiang, Maoming, and Hainan, selecting only “insect-damaged old wood”—the matured portion of agarwood trees that has naturally formed resin after being bored by insects and then naturally stored or buried in soil for several years or even longer. Insect-damaged wood is already rare, and aged insect-damaged old wood is even more sought after. We control the entire process ourselves, from planting, aging, selection to extraction.

🐛 What is insect-damaged old wood?

Insect-damaged wood is a special resinous formation caused by the secretion of resin from the tree after insects have bored into it, resulting in a clear and vibrant aroma. “Aged wood” refers to wood that has undergone several years or even longer of natural storage or aging in soil after resin formation:

Aging process: Moisture and low-boiling-point volatiles are further lost, making the oils more concentrated and stable.

Aroma changes: The “pungent” quality of new wood diminishes, and the aroma transforms into a calm, mellow, and restrained fragrance.

Quality characteristics: The “clarity” of insect-damaged wood and the “mellowness” of aged wood blend perfectly in the raw material, creating an aroma profile that cannot be replicated by ordinary new wood.

Scarcity: Natural insect-damaged wood is already rare, and aged insect-damaged wood that has been aged for many years is even rarer.

🔥 Ancient distillation method, slow extraction of aged aroma
Using a time-honored ancient water distillation process, targeting the dense texture and deep oil content of aged insect-damaged wood, slow distillation over low heat and long-term extraction fully releases the deeply solidified aroma molecules within the aged wood. No fractionation, no blending, and no accelerated extraction are performed.

💧 100% Pure, Undiluted, Additive-Free. No base oils, alcohol, fragrance, or any thickeners. The essential oil is a deep amber-brown color, with a thick, clinging texture. It absorbs gently into the skin after application and has an extremely long-lasting fragrance.
