🌿 Originating from China’s core agarwood producing areas: Yangjiang/Maoming, Guangdong & Hainan

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

We own our own agarwood plantations in Yangjiang, Maoming, and Hainan, selecting precious purple agarwood raw materials from these plantations. We extract the core material with the highest oil content and manually break it into small pieces. This product is designed for incense users seeking a “high oil content” experience—though in pieces, it represents the most oil-rich part of the original raw material. From planting and selection to production, we maintain complete control.

🟣 What is Purple Agarwood?

Purple Qinan is a precious variety of Qinan agarwood, named for its purplish-brown to purplish-red resin color. It accounts for less than 5% of the total Qinan production.

Scarcity: Rare in production, making it a highly sought-after category among incense enthusiasts.

Color: The resin is purplish-brown to purplish-red, with unique purple oil lines visible on the cut surface, shimmering with a purplish hue under light.

Aroma: Cool with a unique fruity acidity and floral notes, the base notes have a sweet aroma reminiscent of violets or berries.

Texture: Rich in resin, it feels sticky to the touch, and when shaved, it curls like golden threads.

💧 What is high-oil agarwood fragments?

High-oil fragments refer to specially selected high-oil-content fragments from purple agarwood raw materials:

Source: Taken from the heartwood, oil-bearing areas, or naturally detached small pieces of high-oil content.

Oil Standard: Visibly saturated with oil, the cut surface is oily and reflective, and it has a noticeably sticky feel to the touch.

Appearance: A mixture of irregular fragments, thin slices, and small particles, ranging in size from 2mm to 15mm.

Difference from ordinary fragments: Ordinary fragments may contain sapwood or low-oil portions, while high-oil fragments are entirely composed of high-oil-content materials.

✨ Premium Grade Standard

This product is premium grade, meticulously selected from high-oil wood fragments according to the following standards:

Oil Content: ≥70% oil coverage (visually assessed), smooth cut surface, noticeably sticky to the touch

Color: Deep and uniform purplish-brown to purplish-red, without any white or light-colored parts

Water Test: Most pieces sink or partially sink upon contact with water (due to the small size of the fragments, some may float, which does not affect quality)

Aroma: A rich, sweet, cool aroma and fruity acidity of purple agarwood can be detected at room temperature.

Purity: Free from impurities, mold, artificial dyeing, or oil injection.

🍂 Aroma Characteristics (Exclusive Fragrance of High-Oil Purple Agarwood)

The higher the oil content of high-oil agarwood fragments, the more outstanding the aroma:

First Note: A strong, clear, and cool sensation hits the nose, accompanied by a unique fruity acidity (similar to green apples or berries).

Middle Notes: A rich floral and honey-sweet aroma intertwines, with layers of elegant violet-like notes emerging.

Base Notes: Frankincense blends with a deep woody base, leaving a lingering berry sweetness that lasts far longer than ordinary agarwood fragments.

🔥 Versatile Use (High Oil Content for Superior Performance)

Electric/Charcoal Burning: Place a small pinch (approximately 0.2-0.5g) in an incense burner or electric diffuser and burn slowly at a low temperature (80-120℃). The high oil content results in faster fragrance release, a richer aroma, and more repeated burning (can be reused 5-8 times until odorless).

**Incense Making:** High-oil agarwood fragments, after being ground into powder, are rich in oil, resulting in incense sticks, coils, or incense plaques with a mellow aroma and good adhesion.

**Tea Making:** Take a small amount (approximately 0.2-0.3g) using a tea filter bag and brew with Pu-erh tea or aged white tea, or boil it alone. The high oil content adds a mellow, cool, and sweet taste to the tea.

**Alcohol Infusion:** Place the agarwood in a gauze bag and soak it in white wine. The high oil content allows the wine to absorb the agarwood aroma more quickly, resulting in a smoother taste.

**Medicinal/Health Uses:** Traditional Chinese medicine believes that agarwood can promote qi circulation, relieve pain, and calm asthma. High-oil fragments contain a higher concentration of effective components.

**Sachet Filling:** Fill sachets with agarwood. The high oil content allows for a longer-lasting aroma release, eliminating the need for frequent replacement.

**DIY Crafts:** Can be used to make incense beads, incense plaques, and incense pillow fillings. The high oil content makes the finished product more fragrant.

**Beginner Experience:** Experience the high-oil aroma of purple agarwood at a high cost-performance ratio, suitable for daily use by incense enthusiasts.
